Poultry farmers selling chicken meat on their own
In what seems to be an innovative way of protest, poultry farmers of Rupandehi are selling chicken meat on their own to protest low selling price to chicken meat sellers. They are using the space of Road Department of Butwal for the place to keep their shop where they are wooing customers via miking.
The customers are benefitted by this way of protest. They are buying chicken meat at less price than normal market price. The protestors complain that the meat sellers did not gave them the sum per chicken previously agreed upon.
This protest is getting public support since they are directly getting benefit. And it can also be a good lesson to the other protestors who only knows road blockade and bandhas as the only means of protest.
