State of Dhankuta unstable
Fearing the possible clash between cadres of UNCP Maoists and UML, the local administration of Dhankuta has imposed an indefinite curfew. The decision was taken after the two parties failed to reconcile. Earlier, the Maoists had declared Dhankuta a Limbuwan Autonomous province and seized the keys of the Municipality and VDCs. But Baburam Dhakal, vice-president of Maoists has clarified that the action taken by YCL cadres in Dhankuta of capturing government offices and nominating people as 'against the party policy.'
