Bomb blast rocks NEA Itahari office
In yet another incident of bomb explosion in Sunsari district, a pressure cooker bomb went off at a branch office of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in Itahari on Friday morning. The bomb that exploded at around 4:00 am has caused damage to different parts of the office building including its windows, said police inspector Mahendra Shrestha of the Area Police Office, Itahari. No human casualties have, however, occurred in the explosion.

BANKE, JUL 31 - Some four months ago, a group of armed looters barged into Kohalpur-based Shrestha General Store and looted cash and valuables at gunpoint. Few days after the armed robbery, an unidentified group planted an improvised explosive device at the residence of its proprietor, Durga Prasad Shrestha. Shrestha’s ordeal did not stop here. An unidentified group demanded that the Shrestha family cough up Rs 5 million as donation or face dire consequences.
