Hari P. Poudel from Balkhu shares
That day, the Maoists had some protest program going on somewhere and all vehicles were told to return back. But I had to reach my office in time and the only option for me was to walk. This way I save ten rupees. What a great way to change a man's habit. If they do such protest programs everyday, then I will always save some money for my future. And walking all the way to Baneshwor from Kalimati is also a healthy exercise. And the roads are smoke free. Good for lungs!
And you can also know what 'civilian supremacy' means. If you don't know, I now know. The word 'civilian supremacy' was always a political jargon for me. But that day, I got a taste of it. I could walk in the middle of the road that always used to be busy with rocketing vehicles all day. And in some of the days of protest, I don't have to go to office, the place that I always want to skip! But hurray! I could walk in the middle of the road and no one can stop me. What can be better example than the 'civilian supremacy' than this? I want more bandha. I want more protests. I want more curfew. I want my civilian supremacy.
