On the way, I saw protestors burning tyres, pelting stones at policemen. All the shops were closed and streets were vehicle free. Few motorbikes were burning in the middle of the street. I wondered whose bike was that. He must have come out on the streets on his bike to show that he didn’t support the bandha. But his freedom of speech was burning in front of my eyes. Even ambulances were not allowed to run. Street children were beating a man on bicycle with sticks. I was surprised to see them carrying flags of some political party. It is funny that political parties have recruited street children to carry on their legacy when the civilians have deserted them.
I don’t think that bandha benefits anyone. It only helps to slow the prosperity of a country. I ask our government to ban all the bandhas.
